Presence through Sound Ensemble is a student-led community service-based piano and string ensemble that plays music for a deeper purpose. Playing at places that need music the most—such as in underserved retirement homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and care centers—we aim to mend the growing problem of the isolating, lonesome lives the elderly or sick can face in their daily life.
Through the universal language and limitless power of music in our passionate piano and string duet and solo performances, we aim to foster joy, peace, solace, and a sense of belonging to these Las Vegas residents who could feel neglected. With our efforts, as well as with support from the Las Vegas community, we intend to spread awareness and give back to our beloved community by being a force for change and positively impact the atmosphere in disadvantaged institutions, making it rejuvenating and comforting. One note at a time.
